Kate Thorburn is a freelance Illustrator and Surface Pattern Designer based in Yorkshire in the UK.
She has over 15 years experience working in the greeting card sector and has a background in Ceramic Design before specialising in painting for a living.
Her passion is creating bright florals, painterly illustrations inspired from nature, her travels and love for printed textiles. She is a collector of beautiful objects, found treasures of shells, pinecones, postcards which are often used a subject matter. Kate predominately paints using bright acrylics, inks and watercolours to create strong brush stroke illustration.
Kate loves exhibitions, architecture, street art and is always on the look out for inspiration wherever she goes! She also loves a botanical garden to fill her floral bucket!
